This week we are celebrating the contribution of our incredible volunteers!   From our newest recruits to our regular supporters and of course our Trustees - you are all amazing! 😊 Here’s why Verdi chose to volunteer for BART:

“I’ve worked with BART since 2015.  My brother in law has had both a hip and knee replacement and I recognise the importance of continued research to improve the outcomes for hip and knee replacement patients.  As with most charities, Covid-19 has had a huge impact on their fundraising potential for 2020 so now more than ever we need to renew our efforts in securing funds to promote this important and valuable work.”

Key skills required for the post:
• A minimum degree of 2:1 (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or another relevant discipline.
• This challenging and interesting project requires computational, scientific, and interdisciplinary communication skills. Applicants should have a keen interest to develop skills in medical image analysis, 3D modelling, and numerical modelling applied to biomechanics.

The BART supporters are a talented bunch. Mary, a past joint replacement patient from Musgrave Park Hospital, has written this poem for our NHS heroes and we wanted to share it with you.
