The British Hip Society annual scientific meeting was held in Norwich from the 16th to 18th of March and was attended by various members of the Primary Joint Unit at Musgrave Park Hospital who were presenting both oral and poster presentations. We are delighted to announce that Mr Chris O’Neill won the McKee prize for best oral / podium presentation. His paper title was 'A Randomised Controlled Study Investigating the Effect of Patient Pelvic Positioning on Radiological Acetabular Inclination during Total Hip Arthroplasty.'
Chris is a trainee orthopaedic surgeon and this work was completed as part of his MD when he was a BART fellow within the Primary Joint Unit from 2012 to 2013. The MD was funded by BART. The masters was carried out in conjunction with the School of medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical sciences at the Queen’s University of Belfast.
Well done Chris!
